Centenarian – Marie Suzanne Louise Félix reached an exceptional milestone by celebrating her 100th birthday on July 3, 2025. The ceremony was held at La Cannelle restaurant in Domaine Les Pailles, attended by several government members and local personalities, organized by the Ministry of Social Integration, Social Security, and National Solidarity.

Born into a family of 14 children, Mrs. Félix married Hubert Fernand Félix at the age of 24, a mechanic who later became chief mechanic at the Saint Aubin sugar estate. She raised five children and lived for many years on the plantation before moving to Beau Bassin after her husband’s passing.

In good health, Mrs. Félix leads an active life. She favors light meals, enjoys conversations and watching television, and continues to sew without glasses, with excellent eyesight and hearing. She attributes her longevity to her faith in God, a disciplined and healthy lifestyle, and the love of her children.

This centenarian is an inspiration to her family and community, celebrating a century of life filled with rich experiences and love.
