Inauguration of a new indoor gym at Roche Bois Social Welfare Centre

A new indoor gym was officially inaugurated on July 18th at the Roche Bois Social Welfare Centre, providing an essential space for fitness, wellness, and social connection to the local community.

This initiative, led by the National Empowerment Foundation (NEF), is implemented by the Ministry of Social Integration, Social Security, and National Solidarity, in collaboration with the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family Welfare. The primary goal of this facility is to promote a healthy lifestyle and enhance the well-being of residents by offering accessible fitness infrastructure in a safe and supportive environment.

In his speech, Minister Subron emphasized the significance of this gym for the people of Roche Bois, a community known for its spirit of hard work and resilience. He encouraged the public, particularly the youth, to fully utilize this inclusive facility. He also pointed out that the gym could serve as a positive outlet for young people, helping to steer them away from social issues such as drug addiction.

Minister Mohamed, for his part, commended the initiative, highlighting the crucial role of sports in individual well-being and community development.
